Emma’s Personal Tour

Vegan-friendly weekend breaks around the world.

EMMA’S PERSONAL TOUR!

Bridport & Westbay, Dorset, United Kingdom.

Favourite Independent Coffee Shops

Soulshine Cafe! Great coffee, juices, smoothies and a good selection of vegan cakes. Relaxed, family-friendly, dog-friendly atmosphere. Aroma on the main street is also worth a visit.

Active Adventures

Take the public bus to Westbay and do a section of the South West Coastal Path for beautiful coastal views and fantastic hiking. Make sure to check the South West Coastal Path website for updates on the trail as there can be a lot of cliff erosion in this part of the country, there’s usually less erosion if you head East.

Culture

Visit the cute Bridport museum to see some amazing fossils from the Jurassic Coastline and learn more about the area and its rope-making past.

Don’t Miss

The fab antiques and the vintage market tucked away at St Micheal’s trading estate just a short walk from town. usually on the last Sunday of every month. There is also a once-a-month vegan market usually on a Saturday, definitely check ahead online for times and dates.

Place To Go At Night

The Electric Palace 1920’s style theatre for live comedy, film, music, and theatre.

Best View

Take the public bus to Westbay or if you’re driving park in the East Beach car park and walk up the cliff, the climb is worth the views to see the beautiful Dorset coastline stretch out for miles.

One Thing You Must Do

Pre-order some vegan goodies from @yumptious, vegan pie, and pasty heaven! If you’re not from the U.K. then you must try a vegan pasty too, they’re delicious hot or cold and make a perfect hiking snack.

Evening Vegan Eats

The Bull pizzeria and cider bar (formerly The Stables) and The Taj Mahal Indian on East Street are both great options. The Indian gets busy so best reserve a table in advance.
