You’ll be flying into Cancun International airport where you’ll be met by your Vegan Adventure Holidays Trip Leader before heading fifty miles south to Playa Del Carmen.

Monday December 27th
Tierra De Animales is a vegan animal sanctuary doing amazing work, the sanctuary is home to around 500 animals, beyond the rescue and rehabilitation of the animals, a very important part of the work Tierra De Animales do is to educate and raise awareness in Mexico about animal rights by giving talks in schools and workplaces. Topics such as importance of sterilization and adoption, the proper care of companion animals, as well as veganism are amongst some of what they cover with their outreach work.
Get your workboots on and roll up your sleeves because your about to get hands on with the animals!
Tuesday December 28th
Today is action-packed starting with a beginner bird watching & nature tour!
Just twenty minutes outside of Playa you might be lucky enough to see mot mots, woodpeckers, espatula rosada, loro frentiblanco, zapilote negro, vireo ceje canela. Our local guide will help us identify the wildlife in the area.
Next stop, back to Playa Del Carmen for a vegan street food breakfast, fresh tropical juice and hot fresh coffee! You’ll have some free time in the afternoon to explore the city or just relax on the beach, the choice is yours.
Later this afternoon you’ll get to experience the Caribbean Sea the best way possible; floating on a paddleboard toward the setting sun! If you have never done standup paddleboarding before, not to worry because the group will receive a basic intro to standup paddleboarding from the local guide that takes about 5 – 10 minutes. It’s pretty easy to learn the basics. After that our guide will make sure you enter the water safely and have an amazing time!
Wednesday December 29
Imagine an ancient walled city perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Caribbean ocean!
This is in fact an accurate description of the archeological site of Tulum which is just 60km south of Playa Del Carmen and definitely one of Mexico’s highlights.Tulum was one of the last cities built by the Maya, it was at it’s most powerful between the 13th and 15th centuries but is thought to have been inhabited as early as 564.
Today is action packed with a private guided tour of the impressive Tulum archeological site followed by a beautiful vegan brunch and then off to cool down in some local cenotes.
A cenote is a natural sinkhole resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater, these natural swimming holes were sacred to the mayans – the Yucutan peninsula is packed with cenotes and you’re going to experience one today!
Thursday December 30
Are you ready for some action? Today you’ll be snorkeling in Cenotes, ziplining through the jungle and kayaking in the mangroves before enjoying a vegan friendly mayan lunch!
Located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, you’ll visit a village that will offer you a glimpse into the Maya culture. This village is part of an ecotourism project where culture and adventure are perfectly combined thanks to the care of a mayan community.
You’ll enjoy 4 amazing but different cenotes, where you can do different activities. During the tour of the park’s trails, you will have the opportunity to appreciate a great variety of wildlife, such as: birds of different species, insects, turtles, cenote fish, iguanas and monkeys.
